One trend in modern baking is towards the reduction of the fermentation time in the baking process. Unfortunately this often leads to a loss of flavour in the bread. To recapture the traditional bread flavour, Puratos develops ready-to-use flavours and sourdoughs.

Thanks to ready-to-use flavours and sourdoughs you can combine traditional bread flavours with the convenience of modern baking. In addition, our yeast derived products have a relaxing effect on the dough.

There is a whole range of Puratos sourdoughs and aromas, including:

  • Natural sourdoughs in powder or liquid form, based on wheat or rye fermentation processes;
  • Typical starter cultures for your own sourdough production;
  • Yeast derivate products, that are characterized by their excellent organoleptic qualities and their function of taste enhancer;
  • Natural identical flavours, like crust flavour to further seduce the consumer's nose.
